On the afternoon of July 6th, the 2023 Zhejiang Taiwan Zhou Shaoxing Special Event and Cross Strait (Shaoxing) Digital Industry Cooperation Conference with the theme of "Core Opportunities and New Cooperation" was held. More than 400 representatives of digital economy enterprises, experts and scholars, and industry celebrities from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered together to discuss the development plan of digital industry cooperation. Guo Jinlong, Chairman of the Mainland China Council of the Cross Strait Entrepreneur Summit, Lin Jun, Secretary General of the Mainland China Council of the Cross Strait Entrepreneur Summit, and Qiu Qiwen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, attended. Yin Qiming, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Wen Nuan, Chairman of the National Taiwan Compatriot Investment Enterprise Association, Li Zhenghong, Chairman of the National Taiwan Compatriot Investment Enterprise Association, and You Wenguang, Executive Supervisor of the Taiwan Electrical and Electronics Industry Association, delivered speeches. Chairman of the Taiwan Business and Taiwan Enterprise Special Committee of the Provincial Council for the Promotion of Overseas Trade Qin Ronghua, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Minshi Holdings, attended. Xu Jun, Director of the Binhai New Area Management Committee and Secretary of the Yuecheng District Committee, jointly unveiled the Cross Strait (Shaoxing) Digital Industry Cooperation Zone. Yan Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Binhai New Area Party Working Committee and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee, introduced the industrial development of the Binhai New Area.
Wen Nuan expressed gratitude on behalf of the four sets of teams in the city to all leaders and guests for their long-term care and support for the development of Shaoxing in his speech. He said that Shaoxing is seizing the opportunity of digital transformation, vigorously promoting digital industrialization and industrial digitization, and actively exploring new models of digital economy development with Shaoxing characteristics and national influence. The Cross Strait (Shaoxing) Digital Industry Cooperation Zone has officially been unveiled, and a large number of projects have been signed and landed, which will inevitably embark on a new journey for the development of Shaoxing's digital economy. We will take this opportunity to make greater efforts to implement the "No.1 Development Project" for digital economy innovation and improvement, and strive to create a new highland for the digital economy in the Greater Bay Area. We will implement the preferential policies for Taiwan and promote closer ties and deeper cooperation between the two regions. I hope that leaders, experts, industry elites, and Taiwanese businessmen can visit Shaoxing more frequently, conduct research and guidance, invest and prosper, and work together with us to share new opportunities for the development of the digital economy and create a new situation of cross-strait integration and development.
Li Zhenghong said that Shaoxing not only has a pleasant scenery but also has a rapid economic growth momentum. Behind this is the new vitality given by green and digital development. The holding of this conference further showcases the beautiful reality and future of Shaoxing for Taiwanese businessmen, and creates opportunities and platforms for Taiwanese enterprises to participate in the high-quality development of Shaoxing's digital industry. As the only national Taiwanese business organization in mainland China, the National Taiwan Enterprise Federation is willing to take this event as an opportunity to further leverage its role as a bridge and link, strengthen ties and cooperation with Shaoxing, and strive to assist more Taiwanese businesses and enterprises in participating in the tide of economic and cultural exchanges between Shaoxing and Taiwan, making new and greater contributions to promoting the integration and development of cross-strait economy and promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
You Wenguang said that Shaoxing and Taiwan are geographically close, culturally connected, and have close economic and trade exchanges. The development strategy of Taiwan's industries is highly aligned with the overall development direction of Shaoxing in the future. Shaoxing and Taiwan's industries should have closer exchanges and cooperation, fully play complementary roles, and seek new areas and strategies for cooperation between the two sides in the new situation and stage. This association will continue to play an important role in cross-strait exchanges and cooperation, engage in deep industrial docking with Shaoxing, and systematically coordinate and cooperate with cross-strait manufacturers' new products and technologies, promoting more business opportunities.
At the meeting, the "One Zone, Two Parks" digital industry in Shaoxing was promoted on-site. 16 industrial projects were collectively signed. Five digital economy entrepreneurs and experts from both sides of the Taiwan Strait delivered keynote speeches.
